A navigation bar is provided at the top of each page to select the various features of the site listed below. This site works best with Internet Explorer (version 6.0 or better), Safari 2.0+, Firefox Mozilla (version 2.9 or better), MAC OS 9 and above and Windows 2000 and above.

Shows - This feature will allow you to look at all shows that your station currently owns. They are shown as a tile in the main screen. Click on the tile to select a show. Using the navigation bar to the left, you can choose which files you would like to see by clicking on a particular folder.

Search - When you know exactly what you are looking for, choose this feature. Our robust search engine allows you to enter information into as many or as few fields as you need in order to find specific files. If you would like a wider search or you do not know exactly what you want, you may want to try the Shows feature and look by title.

Cart - Click here to create collections or personalized groupings of files. You can save these carts, adding and removing materials as needed, until you are ready to download your complete collection. The cart feature will zip up the files for easier download and when you unzip the files, they will be arranged in folders for ease of use. Please scroll down to Using Cart for more detailed information

Contact Us - Here you will find contact information for this website and the CBS Television Distribution Marketing team.

SHOWS

Navigation - On the left side of your browser window you will find the main folder titled TV Series. By default, your main screen shows all TV series your station owns. To find files for a particular show, click on the tile that corresponds with that show. You will notice that the navigation area on the left changes each time you click on an item, expanding as you navigate down through the site. At any time, you can click back up to a higher level, or to a different section by clicking on the shows button in the top navigation or clicking on the TV series button in the left navigation.

Filters - When a folder has more than 30 files in it, the filters will appear so that you may narrow your selection. In the filter bar, click on the word show to view the different fields available. You can choose to select all of or only a few of the fields, depending of what you are looking for. If no files are found, try a broader search (e.g. instead of a particular episode, broaden it to include a full season). You can only search for one character, actor, season or episode at a time. If you would like to view all the files available, choose (all) for each of the fields and press GO.

Filelist - Once you get a result, you will be able to view the files two different ways: Lightbox view or List view. If the files are mostly images, the default view is Lightbox. If the files are mostly documents, the default view is List. You can roll over the thumbnail image in Lightbox view or the file name in List view to get a larger thumbnail preview and details. Once you have decided on a file, you can add it to your cart or download it immediately. Check below to find out more about the file formats used and the programs to launch and use them once you have downloaded them.

File Formats

EPS or .eps - Encapsulated PostScript files can be vector or bitmap format graphic files for the PostScript language. This format is supported by Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, among others.

JPEG or .jpg - JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) is a compressed file format. Designed with file size and quality in mind, they have become one of the most widely used graphic file formats. Images with a file extension of .jpg can be viewed using QuickTime, most web browsers and Photoshop.

MP3 or .mp3 - MP3 is a compact and high quality audio file format, short for MPEG-1 layer 3 audio compression. MP3s are widely used; you can listen to an MP3 with a media player such as RealPlayer, QuickTime or Microsoft MediaPlayer.

PDF or .pdf - A PDF, Portable Document Format, file can be viewed using Adobe 's Acrobat Reader (a free program) as well as most web browsers that include the Acrobat plug in. (see Adobe Acrobat Reader)

Photoshop File or .psd - PSD files are high quality Photoshop files that support all available image modes, (bitmap, grayscale, duotone, indexed color, RGB, CMYK and multichannel) guides, alpha channels, spot channels and layers. Ad Reaction Photography is provided in this format. (see Photoshop)

PowerPoint or .ppt - PowerPoint is a visual presentation that can be viewed with Microsoft 's free PowerPoint viewer. (see PowerPoint)

FreeZip or .zip - .zip are compressed files using the FreeZip program for the Windows platform. Compressing and packaging files makes it quicker to download large carts of files. (see FreeZip)

SEARCH

The search function allows you to search through all files on the site. Use this method to find files containing specific information such as a particular actor. You can select any or all fields; the more fields you select, the narrower your results. For example, if you 're searching for photos of Ted Danson, it would be wise to specify a show (since he was in Cheers and Becker and has done guest spots on shows such as Frasier) as well as the type of file (photography). If you find that you 're not getting any results, try filling in fewer fields to broaden the search.

USING CARTS

Just like shopping at an ecommerce site, you can create custom carts. Carts can contain an unlimited number of files that can be any mix of documents, photos, logos, etc. These carts can be saved, stored, emailed and downloaded. For example, you can make a cart with specific synopses and associated episodic photographs for several different shows. At any time, you can view your carts by clicking on the CART icon in the top navigation area. It will show you a list view of the carts you currently have. See below to read about the cart screen options.

Saving Carts - Once you have found an item, there are a few ways to add it to a cart. By clicking add file to cart, you will receive a pop up window that gives you the option to save the file in an existing cart or to make a new cart. If you would like to add multiple items to a cart, select the files using the checkbox located under each file, then click ADD SELECTED TO CART at the top of the filelist. You will be given the same pop up menu to either choose an existing cart or start a new one. You can also select the cart icon on the right of the filelist to add the file to your cart.

THE CART SCREEN

Name - this should be a unique but brief name of your cart

View - This is a list of all the files in your cart. You can view the files in list view or lightbox view.

Edit - When you are in the edit screen, you 'll see an option for a Start Date and End Date. It is helpful to include these dates if you plan on sending the cart out to anyone who should only have access to the files for a limited period of time. If you email a cart with an End Date and someone accesses that URL after the date, they will not be able to access the files. You also have the option of deciding if the items in the cart are downloadable by the recipient. Click this button if you would like the end user to be able to download the files

Email - There are two ways to email a cart.
From the cart drop down menu, click the “EMAIL” link, and you will then get a pop up window where you can email your cart and manage your address book. Type in the email address for the recipient(s) and click the send button. If you would like to send the cart to more than one person, simply add a comma between the email addresses. We 've created some generic text in the body of the email explaining the content, but you can change the body copy if you like.

IMPORTANT NOTE: NEVER alter the line of text in the email body copy that says: "You may view your cart by visiting the following link: http://www.promopassport.com/TermsOfUse.aspx?search=%guid%. This line provides the user access to the cart you have created. If it is altered in any way, the link will not work and the user will be sent to the sign-in page.

You can also send a sample email to yourself before sending it to anyone else by clicking the Send Sample button in the email screen.

Download- To download files in a cart, click the download icon to the right of the filelist. To speed up downloads, we offer zipped files. If you do not wish to download files using a compressed feature, each file must be downloaded individually. If you need a program to uncompress the files, please see the resources below.

History - This feature allows you to see the date the cart was created, the email addresses that the cart was sent to and how many times it has been accessed.
